To be engaged.....
Life of the engaged...
I would love to say that i love being engaged, however i would be lying.. I just want to move on with my life and be able to not worry about a wedding. Jared i know is all for the wedding coming faster but we both know we have to wait. Being engaged i think is one of the hardest things a couple first endures together. I know I have had my wedding planned since i was little. I never really thought my husband would care..LOL i was wrong. Jared has opinions i am learning to accept.. LEARNING is the hey word there.. I love him but, i never thought he would care what music we played at the wedding or what food we ate.. I am learning fast.. I am open to letting him pick the food... As for the music, we are still trying to come to a compromise. I never thought i would marry a person like Jared and i know he never thought he would marry someone like me LOL... so that was something we had to get over very quickly.. Jared is 6'2" and i am 5'3", that has taken some getting used to without looking awkward... LOL..
Jared and i have been in the same ward since last July.. I think we talked once in the six months of living here.. One day we went to a ward activity to temple square. I was friends with his roommate and decided to ride up with them. Jared and his friend Jo decided to sing very loudly Michael Buble on the way up.. I am a fan of Michael and had to admit he caught my attention that day. However, later that night we were separated and I ended up coming home with another group of guys. The next day I text Jared to ask him a question about something with our ward that night.. Needless to say we never stopped texting and have been inseparable ever since. Jared told me he loved me that first week, I was shocked and completely head over heels for him.
Jared then had the wonderful chance to watch me freak out that things were happening so fast. I have been one all my life who has lived by the idea that love does not happen fast. After lots of praying and accepting that things are not going to happen my way. I was overcome with a peaceful warmth and decided from that date forward to let go of any doubts and proceed. Jared and i started dating around December 10Th and he proposed Jan. 11Th!!! the story of him proposing is another post all together!!!
